Cold Stone Creamery is bringing a spooky twist to Halloween 2026 with the return of its signature Boo Batter ice cream, a pitch-black version of its popular Cake Batter Ice Cream. Available at participating US locations from 1 October through 31 October, the seasonal collection combines playful Halloween designs with familiar chocolate treats.

Chocolate Meets Halloween Ice Cream

One of the collection’s highlights is the Treat or Treat Creation, which mixes Boo Batter ice cream with KIT KAT pieces, Halloween OREO cookies and M&M’S milk chocolate candies. The combination brings together creamy cake-batter flavour, crunchy biscuits and colourful chocolate candy in one seasonal dessert.

The brand has also introduced the Witches’ Boo Shake, blending Boo Batter ice cream with Halloween OREO cookies and finishing it with whipped topping and spooky sprinkles.

For those looking for a different format, the Boo Batter Ice Cream Taco wraps the dark ice cream in an orange waffle shell, coated with chocolate and Halloween sprinkles.

Seasonal Creativity in the Ice Cream Market

The collection illustrates how dessert brands are using seasonal colours, familiar confectionery products and limited-time flavours to create distinctive Halloween experiences.

By incorporating established brands such as KIT KAT, OREO and M&M’S, Cold Stone combines recognisable flavours with its own ice cream creations. The result is a seasonal menu that appeals to consumers looking for more than a conventional scoop of ice cream.

For the wider chocolate industry, the launch highlights the opportunities available through collaborations between confectionery and foodservice brands. Chocolate bars, cookies and candy can become ingredients in entirely new dessert formats, extending their appeal beyond traditional packaged sweets.

As Halloween celebrations continue to inspire seasonal menus, these collaborations show how chocolate remains an important ingredient in innovative desserts.
