Swiss chocolate maker STELLA is expanding its product range with a new Matcha Strawberry Ube chocolate bar, combining three flavours inspired by Asian food trends.
The bar brings together matcha’s distinctive earthy taste, the fruity sweetness of strawberry and ube, a purple yam popular in Southeast Asian desserts. Its contrasting flavours and vibrant colours offer a different experience from traditional milk and dark chocolate bars.
The launch forms part of a wider product expansion that also includes an Organic & Fair Milk Pistachio bar and a Surprise Mix made using surplus chocolate and ingredients from STELLA’s own production.
The Matcha Strawberry Ube bar is certified organic and Fairtrade and comes in paper-based packaging. The Surprise Mix also highlights how manufacturers can find new uses for surplus ingredients instead of allowing them to go to waste.
The products were scheduled to become available from 1 October 2026, bringing the new range to market ahead of the final quarter of the year.
Why It Matters
STELLA’s launch highlights two developments in chocolate innovation: growing interest in internationally inspired flavours and efforts to reduce food waste. By combining matcha, strawberry and ube, the company is exploring a flavour combination that stands apart from conventional chocolate offerings.
